Behind every academic dream, there is often a story of struggle—and for Pushpa Chaudhary, that struggle began at home, in a family where every day is shaped by financial hardship.
Pushpa is a 22-year-old student pursuing BHM at Ritz College of Engineering and Management, affiliated with Pokhara University. She comes from a family of six, where her father works as a gardener and her mother manages the household. With a very limited annual income, even basic needs are difficult to manage, especially while living and studying in Kathmandu.
From childhood, she has seen her parents’ sacrifices closely—her father’s long working hours under the sun and her mother’s silent efforts to keep the family going. Despite these challenges, her parents always believed in one thing: education can change their children’s future.
Pushpa worked hard in her studies, completing Grade 10 with a GPA of 3.15 and Grade 12 with 3.35. But after school, financial pressure made higher education difficult. Choosing BHM was her way of building a future through employment, but the struggle did not end there.
To continue her studies, she teaches younger students in her free time. Even so, managing fees and expenses remains difficult, and she often feels the weight of financial stress while balancing college, tuition, and studies.
Despite social pressure and financial hardship, she continues her journey with determination, supported strongly by her parents’ belief in education.
When she learned about the scholarship opportunity, it gave her renewed hope. For her, it means relief from financial burden and a chance to focus fully on her studies.
Her dream is to complete her BHM, build a career in the hospitality industry, and improve her family’s financial condition. She also hopes to give her siblings a better future and bring stability to her parents’ lives.
For Pushpa, this scholarship is not just support—it is an opportunity to transform struggle into success.
