PRERANA SAH

Meet Prerana Sah, a determined young student from Saptari District, Madhesh Province, Nepal, who has turned financial struggle and social pressure into motivation to continue her higher education in the field of Computer Applications.

She is the daughter of Satya Narayan Sah and Mamta Sah. Her father works as a primary level school teacher, while her mother is a housewife who also supports the family through agricultural work. With her father’s salary being the main source of income, the family has always faced financial limitations in managing household and educational expenses.

Prerana completed her schooling from Classes 8 to 10 in a government school and later pursued her +2 studies with the help of a scholarship. Like many students, she dreamed of continuing her higher education immediately after +2. However, due to her family’s weak financial condition, she was unable to join a bachelor’s program right away and had to face a two-year gap in her studies.

During this period, she stayed at home and also faced societal pressure, including expectations of early marriage. Despite these challenges, she did not lose her determination to study. Instead, she used this time to strengthen her resolve to continue her education.

After two years, Prerana decided to restart her academic journey and applied for the BCA entrance examination. Through self-study and dedication, she successfully passed the entrance exam, proving her commitment to her dream despite financial and social barriers.

At this important stage, she learned about the UGO Nepal Scholarship through a friend and applied for it. With this support, she is now able to pursue her Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA)—a dream she had held since completing her +2.

For Prerana, this scholarship is more than financial assistance. It is a turning point that has made it possible for her to continue her education, gain technical skills, and move toward a stable and meaningful career in the IT field.

She is deeply grateful for this opportunity and is committed to working hard, excelling in her studies, and building a better future for herself and her family.
