From a small rural village in Banke to pursuing higher education in Information Technology, Prabha Kumari BK’s journey has been shaped by determination, sacrifice, and a strong desire to change her future.
She is currently a first-year BCA student at Mangal Prasad Women’s College, Nepalgunj. Originally from Khajura Gaunpalika–4, E Gaun, she completed her early education in a village school up to Grade 7, then continued her studies at Gyanudaya Ma.Vi., Khajura for Grades 8 to 10, and later completed Grades 11 and 12 in Nepalgunj. From an early age, she carried the dream of pursuing higher education and building a career in the IT field.
Prabha comes from a simple family where financial stability is a constant challenge. Her mother is a homemaker, and her father works in India to support the family. With one sister and one brother, the family depends entirely on a limited income, making it difficult to manage educational expenses such as tuition fees, books, and living costs.
After completing Grade 12, continuing her studies became a serious challenge due to financial constraints. Although she was highly motivated to pursue higher education, the burden on her family made the path uncertain. Still, with encouragement from her parents and strong personal determination, she chose to enroll in BCA to move closer to her dream.
During this difficult time, she learned about the scholarship opportunity through her teachers and friends. This brought her renewed hope—a chance to continue her education without putting additional financial pressure on her family.
Her goal is to become a skilled IT professional, support her family financially, and contribute meaningfully to society. She believes that education in the field of Information Technology will open doors to a stable and impactful career.
For Prabha, this scholarship represents more than financial assistance. It is an opportunity to focus fully on her studies, overcome financial barriers, and turn her long-held dream into reality.
