Meet Nirmala Ghale from Siddhalekh-6, Dhading, a determined young student whose journey reflects resilience, hard work, and an unwavering belief in education.
Born into a farming family, Nirmala grew up in a rural village where life revolved around seasonal agriculture. Her father and mother work tirelessly in the fields, and farming remains the family’s main source of income. Despite their hard work, financial stability has always been uncertain, making everyday life a constant challenge.
From a young age, Nirmala understood the value of education. Even while helping her family with agricultural work, she remained committed to her studies. She completed her secondary education in a government school without any scholarship support, facing both financial hardship and the pressure of balancing household responsibilities with academic demands.
Her journey was far from easy. There were days filled with exhaustion, limited resources, and moments of doubt. Yet, Nirmala refused to give up. With determination and self-belief, she successfully completed her Grade 12 with a GPA of 3.00 and is now pursuing her first year of a Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS).
Behind her strength is the quiet sacrifice of her parents, who, despite their struggles, always encouraged her to continue her education. Their belief in her dreams became her biggest motivation to move forward, even during the most difficult times.
Nirmala’s goal is deeply rooted in her own experiences. She dreams of inspiring children—especially those from rural and financially challenged backgrounds—to become self-reliant through education. She wants to prove that no matter how difficult the circumstances are, dreams can still be achieved with persistence and courage.
Today, Nirmala stands as a symbol of hope and determination, carrying not only her own dreams but also the aspirations of her family and community.
