From Kohalpur Municipality–6, Ward No. 6, 19-year-old Srijana Kumari Tharu is a young student whose journey is shaped by simplicity, struggle, and a strong desire to build an independent future through education.
She comes from a low-income family of five members. Her father, Fattejung Tharu, works in agriculture and also takes up daily wage labor to support the household and manage her educational expenses. Despite his continuous hard work, the family still struggles to meet basic needs and education-related costs. Her mother, Manni Tharu, manages the home and supports the family in every possible way.
Srijana completed her basic education from Shree Siddhartha Secondary School in Rajhena and her secondary education from Shree Tribhuvan Secondary School. She has recently appeared for her Grade 12 examination in the Management stream and is now awaiting her results.
From a young age, she has been interested in Business and Account subjects. She is especially curious about how businesses are started and operated. Often, she observes traders in the market to understand how they manage their work, which strengthens her interest in becoming a business-oriented professional in the future.
Alongside her studies, she helps her mother with household responsibilities and occasionally takes on small work to support her family. These experiences have taught her the value of responsibility, discipline, and hard work.
Her dream is to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Management and become a successful businesswoman. She wants to become financially independent and support her family in the future. More importantly, she believes that education is the only path that can help her achieve self-reliance and stability in life.
Srijana is determined to continue her studies and, if given the opportunity, she hopes to use her education not only to improve her own life but also to contribute positively to society and her country.
