U-GO Nepal and Purbanchal University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 30, 2025, establishing a partnership to expand access to higher education for young women across Nepal.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Dinesh P. Shrestha, Executive Chairperson of U-GO Nepal, and Dr. Sandesh Dass Shrestha, Dean of the Faculty of Management at Purbanchal University.
Through this collaboration, both institutions will jointly promote the U-GO Girls Scholarship Program, supporting meritorious and financially disadvantaged female students pursuing four-year bachelor’s degree programs at Purbanchal University and its affiliated colleges. U-GO Nepal will provide core academic fee support, while PU and its affiliated colleges will offer additional fee waivers as needed.
The partnership includes coordinated efforts in scholarship promotion, candidate identification, verification procedures, and academic monitoring. The program will prioritize applicants from marginalized and disadvantaged groups, ensuring equitable access to quality education.
Speaking about the collaboration, both institutions highlighted their shared commitment to supporting young women in achieving their educational ambitions and contributing to Nepal’s social and economic progress.
This MoU marks an important step toward creating a more inclusive academic environment and expanding opportunities for talented young women across Nepal.
