UGO Nepal’s Vision and Strategic Direction
The day began with an orientation on UGO Nepal’s mission and strategic priorities. Santona Devkota KC helped scholars understand the core values and long-term vision of the organization, highlighting how each participant is a vital part of the broader movement. This session fostered a deeper sense of belonging and purpose among the scholars.
Strengthening Leadership Capacity
Rabindra Bahadur Pradhan delivered an engaging session on leadership that quickly became one of the most vibrant parts of the day. Drawing from real-life stories, practical examples, and hands-on activities, he introduced participants to essential leadership principles such as communication, teamwork, and decision-making.
Rather than a lecture, the session was filled with laughter, collaboration, and energy. Participants were immersed in group activities that revealed their leadership styles and encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones. Whether it was through team-based challenges or guided reflections, scholars learned the importance of empathy, accountability, and working together to lead effectively.
Understanding Cyber Safety and Legal Awareness
In today’s digital age, cyber awareness is critical. ASI Ram Prasad Gautam from the Cyber Bureau led a session that opened participants’ eyes to the evolving world of cybercrime. He explained key legal provisions related to online behavior and emphasized the importance of secure digital practices. Scholars learned how to recognize threats and protect themselves while using the internet, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical insights.
Addressing Youth Challenges with Confidence
Rabin Nepali facilitated a heartfelt session on the challenges young people face, both socially and emotionally. It was a safe space where scholars could speak openly about their fears, stressors, and hopes. Through guided discussion and reflection, they learned how to approach their problems with resilience, seek help when needed, and support one another in constructive ways.
Promoting Inclusion through GEDSI Awareness
Santona Devkota KC returned to lead a session on Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). She explored the importance of equity, respect, and inclusive behavior in leadership and daily life. The session encouraged scholars to challenge biases, value diversity, and think critically about how they can advocate for more inclusive communities.
Planning for Personal and Academic Growth
To close the training, participants were guided through a personal development planning session. This activity helped each scholar take a moment to reflect on where they are now, where they want to go, and what steps they need to take. With support from facilitators, they began to map out personal goals and identify the resources, habits, and mindsets they need to succeed.
A Day of Impact and Connection

Throughout the day, the training maintained a dynamic, engaging atmosphere. Interactive discussions, real-time feedback, group tasks, and shared reflections made the learning process enjoyable and memorable. Scholars left the event with greater self-awareness, sharper skills, and a stronger sense of community.
UGO Nepal’s Life Skills and Leadership Training was more than just a one-day event it was a catalyst for change in the lives of young scholars. With renewed motivation and clarity, participants are now better prepared to face challenges, take initiative, and lead with empathy and purpose. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with scholars expressing enthusiasm for future opportunities to learn and grow with UGO Nepal.
